Main SponsorMoneyweb Limited

I am extremely grateful to my main sponsor Moneyweb Limited They have supplied my essential mid layer sailing kit, which I have repeatedly required on level 1 & 2 training plus the SYC races. The mid layer kit is both thermally insulated, breathable and quick drying, I have never been cold whilst wearing them and found the Henri Lloyd jacket and salopettes hard wearing, comfortable and they fit perfectly.
Moneyweb offer independent financial advice, helping clients manage portfolios and expectations. Based near Scarborough I know many of the staff and their MD Paul Robinson, they have all given me valuable support towards my challenge to which I am very grateful.

The Ico Co

It was back in 1860 that Joseph Marr was looking at ways to  keep the fish they caught cold while at sea so he started importing glacial ice from Norway. The Ice Co° has now grown to be Europe’s largest manufacturer of ice. Thanks to the fifth generation of the Marr family my good friends Belle and Polly have supported my challenge by supplying me with a merino base layer for sailing. Merino wool is warm, breathable, naturally antibacterial and odour resistant, every sailors best friend.

Cherrys Country Hardware

Founded in 1947 Cherrys country hardware Ltd provide valuable resource to farmers and country activities. I particularly like the country clothing they stock. I am very grateful to my friends Christian and Katy Cherry who have kindly donated a pair of Dubarry sailing boots to me. Known on the market as a high performance sailing boot they have a Gore-Tex lining and are thermally insulated. Therefore they are a very popular brand that have been proven to withstand all the ocean crossings during the clipper race.

RG Nets

Many Thanks to Richard Mumford for kindly donating a hat, shorts and cash during my Clipper Level one training.

Graham & Co Accountants

Graham & Co Accountants kindly sponsored me to do my Day Skipper Shore based course at Scarborough Yacht Club I passed the course in April 2017.

The 26 week syllabus includes: both traditional and electronic navigation techinques, the regulations for avoidance of collisions, all aspects of safety and safety equipment, tidal calculations, an insight into meteorology, ropework, anchoring, buoyage & pilotage and the codes of good practice for good seamanship.

Dalby Firewood

Dalby Firewood are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of seasoned hardwood logs and all their firewood is sustainably sourced from controlled woodlands and forests. I order my winter logs for my wood burner each winter from Dalby Firewood, their customer service is excellent as well as my supply of logs. I am delighted that they are sponsoring my Oceanwear sleeping bag. No heat on board whilst at sea but this 3 layer waterproof, breathable and fleece lined bag will be my haven on my off-watch.

In Addition:

Many Thanks to Georgina Willis who donated me her Henri Lloyd foulies, much needed knee pads and various dri bags. Thank-you to friend Lynn Gilmore who purchased some valuable merino underwear for my trip.

I have funded my Clipper training plus contribution for the race myself but there are still opportunities to sponsor additional kit and expenses. Sponsorship benefits include your logos on my kit, tour of the Clipper racing yacht in port, PR mentions  and use of the Clipper race crew support logo for your company.

Please get in touch if you wish to support me and be part of this exciting global event.
