World Wide Waites

My soul mate and sea vagabond.

Guy Waites over the past 25 years has raced and delivered boats from 21 ft to 75 ft, with weekend sailors to Whitbread rock stars, during which time he has worked his way through the RYA’s syllabus until passing his Yachtmaster’s exam in 2000.

His main ambition was to sail single handed across an ocean. On purchasing Red Admiral he set about restoring the boat in order to complete the Jester challenge, a single-handed trans-atlantic event for boats 20-30 ft from Plymouth to Newport, Rhode Island. Due to reasons you can read about in his blogs this was not fully completed until he purchased, restored and set off again across the North Atlantic on Corribee Betsy.
